Weapon X

So I just released my new mix-tape entitled “Weapon X”. Inspired by Wolverine and the X-men, this project delves into the deep and dark secrets of my past while I search for inner peace and lay my past hurts to rest.

The songs overall are pretty mellow, and reflective. The music is hungry, and has a lot of pain, but proposes a way for a better tomorrow.

#Generation of the free – Bunny

I’ll let this artist Speak for her Self

I am BUNNy, and I’m in a toaster. I’m an artist living in Brooklyn, NY. I am currently
a graphic design major at the New York Institute of Technology. With my father
being an artist and my role model I have been doing art since I was born. I paint,
draw, sculpt, design, film and I do photography.

Personally, I love nudity, the human anatomy, emotion and contours (line). I
feel that the shape of the human body is beautiful, dynamic and it differs in every
human being and I love to capture this in my work. Although this is what interests
me the most I hate to stay on one topic or type of art for too long, I love to explore
many things. I am basically interested in anything that catches my eye or makes
me think.

I get ideas all the time, it is very rare to catch me in the street without a
sketchbook or a pen behind my ear. I draw and jot down ideas constantly, my
friends think I am the weirdest. Art is what I do, itʼs my life, and without it I would be
nothing.

The next Performer at Generation of the Free is Rocky representing the A.S.A.P. crew

“I Just Want To Make Music For The World’ explains Rakim ‘Rocky ASAP’ Mayers. Named after the legendary hip hop artist, Rocky was born with music playing a significant role in his life. Rocky’s first memories of music took place in his living room, as he would recite rhymes while his older brother banged on the dining table. He spent the majority of his teenage years participating in M.C. Battles & Group Ciphers through out his Harlem neighborhood. Rocky’s seeks inspirations from all musical genres including The Verve, Curtis Mayfield, and Nas. This would explain his unorthodox style of music. After years of doing shows at local parties on the indie circuit, Rocky is ready to take his music to a wider audience. With a line of mixtapes & full length album lined up for 2010, he plans on showcasing a brand new sound for New York City.

#Generation Of the Free or #GOF

The Generation of the Free is an event compiled of both Art Exhibition and Musical Showcase embracing the expression of personal freedoms. Through the collective exchange of visual and audio creation, those attending shall be pushed to reflect upon the true and absolute definition of being free.

Hosted by clothing brand Lethal Inspiration, this event has a youthful and fun appeal yet challenges its audience to be more conscious of society and that which we perceive as truth on a mass marketed level. The mission of this event is to advance discussion about the true value of life in every day conversation.

The artwork being displayed is hungry, original and reflective of an underground ambition to create and express oneself freely. There are no restraints upon the individual voices of each artist. The musical talent performing will push the boundaries of the audience by blending genre’s of Hip Hop, Pop, Experimental, Dance, Soul, and Acoustic Rhythmical Poetry in to one amazing experience.

Come to engage in the birth of a new generation of society. . . Completely free . . . Never afraid to create.

iPad over life? . . .smh

The following video is a social experiment held by a man named Alex Jones. I highly respect and take in the work this man does exposing secrets and not being afraid of releasing truth to the general public.

In this experiment he “tortures” and iPad. The purpose is to make a statement addressed towards the value of human life. He shows how many people will be immensely upset by this destruction of technology which is an inanimate object but do not hold the same value for living organisms and their fellow mankind.

The purpose is not so say technology is bad. The purpose is to show that we need to discern the weight certain things hold in our lives. Respect your fellow man.
